The new species of knowledge worker is a nomad. He works where he happens to be. The office will thus become redundant. A characteristic of this way of working is the free choice of workplace, working hours and the company one wants to work for. Being transient is not really new, rather the relationship of space and time. There will hardly be a need for a conventional office, because that would restrict both efficiency as well as the joy of working and living.
